Length: Measure the distance you want to be covered along with your house. The wall header will be connected to this Area.

Engineering and Codes

Will the Aluminum Roof meet my local codes?

Most of our Aluminum Patio Cover Kits are backed by the International Building Code, the most widely accepted engineering standard in the United States. But we ever recommend checking your needs with the local building department if you are planning to do a job by code.

Do I need Engineering Plans?

Yes. Getting a permit is extremely recommended if you are planning to do a Roof on your patio. We are not liable if you decide to do it in anyways, so we will recommend going to the building authority and get all the information for your job.

If you’re getting a permit the local building dept. will use them to reference that your cover meets your local requirements. In that case, you must call our company for suggestions, and will assist you with any needs.

NOA: (Notice of Acceptance) In many counties will be required to have an NOA or product approval letter from the product. You can request an NOA from our building department or you can download it on our website and send it to the building authorities in your area.
